So I caved and got the Alesis NitroMesh kit. (Wife doesn’t know yet!) Without having experience in the marketplace with electronic drum kits, I have to say I think the sounds are well sampled. The pads are smaller than I’d like, but for the price point you can’t go wrong here. Being able to change the tension is awesome! Pedals are responsive, and you can use your own base drum pedal(s) should you wish. It would be nice to have multiple zones on the cymbals, but again, you get what you pay for. I’m having a ball with the NitroMesh!
